Aminoactive is one of Australia’s leading sports nutrition companies and specialises in high quality nutritional products for male and female athletes, gym goers and weight trainers. Our company is headquartered in Melbourne, Australia.

History

Aminoactive was founded in 1989 by Keith Ellis and Paul Kirkham.  The company was founded on a strong heritage of bodybuilding, training and sport. Keith Ellis was an Australian bodybuilding champion in the 1970’s and 1980’s, while Paul is a well credentialed sports scientist. Aminoactive has always been a pioneer of new types of protein formulations and has introduced many cutting edge products to the Australian market. Aminoactive continues to invest heavily in new product development and marketing to grow our business both in Australia and in overseas markets.

Aminoactive international business arm, Hi Performance Distribution (HPD), was formed in 2015 to develop export markets for our product range.

Our Key People 

Director - Keith Ellis has over 40 years of experience in the health and fitness industry and was an Australian Champion Bodybuilder through 1970’s & 1980’s. He has very strong knowledge of weight training and nutrition and is a highly respected industry figure in Australia. Keith heads up the Sales and logistics side of the Aminoactive Business.

Director - Paul Kirkham heads up the Technical Arm of Aminoactive and has worked in sports nutrition for over 30 years. He has degrees in Biochemistry, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and specialises in Sports Nutrition.  Paul oversees all of the development of Aminoactive products.

Marketing Manager – Ben Kirkham has degrees in Graphic Design and Digital Marketing. He has over 15 years’ experience in marketing in the sports and fitness industry and heads up our marketing and design team at Aminoactive.

National Sales Manager – Nathan Lee has over 10 years of experience working in the Australian sports nutrition industry including retail management and sales management. Nathan has a strong background in strength training, nutrition and supplementation.  

Operations Manager – Andrew Young has worked in the food and sports nutrition industry running production facilities for over 20 years. Andrew is responsible for all aspects of the operations of our modern powder blending facility located in Melbourne.

Aminoactive manufacture a quality range of sports nutrition products to meet the needs of hard training athletes. We use the highest quality proteins sourced from Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Europe to ensure our supplements are amongst the best and most effective globally. Our manufacturing facilities are accredited by the Australian Government to export standard, and we have international level quality accreditation including FSSC 22000 and HACCP. In addition, all Aminoactive products undergo stringent Quality Assurance testing to ensure the highest standards of purity and potency.
